East Boston Neighborhood Health Center Appoints Evonne Yang as Assistant Vice President, Integration, Clinical and Operational Excellence

East Boston Neighborhood Health Center expands executive leadership team with Boston healthcare veteran

BOSTON, MA (January 12, 2023) – East Boston Neighborhood Health Center (EBNHC) today announced the appointment of healthcare veteran Evonne Yang, MPH, MSW as the Assistance Vice President of Integration, Clinical and Operational Excellence, availing additional operational leadership to the health center’s executive team.

“We’re excited to welcome Evonne to our team,” said EBNHC Chief Operating Officer Ryan Boxill. “Her leadership brings additional perspective, skills and experience in driving innovation and navigating complex challenges, particularly around behavioral health integration. This new role will foster a culture of collaboration and shared accountability across our health system’s diverse functions and processes. Evonne will bring additional capacity to successfully realize our strategic goals in a rapidly changing healthcare environment.”

In her new role, Yang will contribute to the organization’s growth and adaptability as EBNHC navigates complex challenges facing healthcare. She will oversee the integration of large scale and interdisciplinary strategic initiatives as well as provide tactical support on clinical and operational initiatives.

Antes de unirse a EBNHC, Evonne se desempeñó como directora de Salud Conductual en el Sistema de Salud del Boston Medical Center (BMC, por sus siglas en inglés), donde fue responsable de liderar y ejecutar operaciones de salud conductual, rendimiento de calidad e iniciativas estratégicas en todo el sistema de salud. En este puesto, trabajó en estrecha colaboración con los departamentos de BMC Hospital, WellSense Health Plan de BMC y los socios de Boston Accountable Care Organization (BACO) de BMC. Su experiencia laboral incluye el liderar iniciativas de salud de la población en clínicas de atención primaria y especializada en BMC, al igual que ampliar el servicio de salud conductual integrada de BMC. A través de estas iniciativas, Evonne mejoró significativamente el rendimiento general y la integración clínica en todas las líneas de servicios.

Yang holds masters’ degrees in both public health and social work from Boston University. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Stanford University.
