What does “community-based health care” really mean?
At NeighborHealth, it’s a commitment to high-quality health care for the community, provided by the community. While more than half of our employees reside in the neighborhoods we serve, we are committed to increasing that number. Our Education and Training Institute offers tuition assistance and training needed for individual growth and career advancement.
We offer programs to grow your career in the medical field
Medical Assistant Training Program
In this program, participants can train to become Medical Assistants in less than one year. NeighborHealth will pay participants $20/hour for 40 hours of work/school/study time, plus pay for tuition and all learning materials and travel expenses. Upon graduation, NeighborHealth will employ Certified Medical Assistants for a minimum of one-year.
The Medical Assistant Training Program is funded by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, Eastern Bank, and The Mass League of Community Health Center, and in partnership with Bunker Hill Community College.
